THEORY AND HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST
There are now two tests you need to pass before you can apply for your practical test.
Theory test
You will need to correctly answer 43 out of 50 multiple choice questions!
This test is conducted on a computer via a touch screen!
Some questions will have just 1 correct answer some 2,3 or 4.
Hazard Perception
For this part of the test you will be watching 14 video clips which will contain 15 developing hazards
When you see the hazard developing you will need to click the mouse.
The pass mark for this test is 44 out of a possible 75.
So make sure you are ready!

From 14 April 2020, the car theory test will include 3 multiple-choice questions based on a short video you'll watch.
How using a video clip will work
You'll watch a short, silent, video clip and answer 3 multiple-choice questions about it.
You can watch the video clip as many times as you like during the multiple-choice part of the theory test.
When can I take the test?
You can take the test once you have your provisional driving licence and you are 17 years old.
